The snap-on plastic PoolMarkers are patent in the United States, Europe, Japan, and other nations. The blue-bordered, and the blue/white label, appearances are trade-dress in the US and nations. Both are also registered as copyright in the US and other nations. Numerous drawings and designs of the product are also trademarked in the US and other nations. It is the policy of SnapMark, Inc. to pursue personal and corporate treble damages and attorney fees from individuals and companies who violate these legal protections, and take full advantage of the laws which provide that the corporate veil does not protect individuals from these violations. Copyright violations incur an additional automatic $100,000 statutory penalty. Manufacturers should therefore not make copies or adaptations of these products nor should the same be sold by anyone.
